3 Steps
Step 1: Creating critical mass: 1 in 10 Australians
You help create critical mass by joining and telling others about the idea. By supplying your e-mail address, you make no commitment beyond receiving periodic e-mails updating you on our progress. You can unsubscribe at any time and our database will comply with all Australian laws.
Critical mass gives political power and financial capacity. Political power assists in obtaining the full and frank disclosure of the hidden costs, in the form of subsidies that we pay in support of fossil-fuel electricity generation. Once we are at critical mass, you will be notified and together we will move to Step 2.
Step 2: Economic and business modelling
Only upon reaching critical mass, will a team model the economics of the p2p2020 proposal to arrive at the surest economic and business case. The key question to be answered by this modelling is:
Can Australians supply 100% of our energy requirements at a lower overall cost from renewable sources than from fossil-fuels sources by the year 2020?
Pre-modelling indicates by 2020, energy supplied from renewable sources will be cheaper than that generated from fossil-fuel and nuclear sources. The November 2009 issue of Scientific American confirms our pre-modelling conclusions, having taken into account the annualised cost of capital, land, operations, maintenance and energy storage to help offset supply and transmission issues.
Step 3: Project delivery
This renewable-energy project will be delivered on the basis of the proven economic and business model finalised during Step 2. An investment offer will then be prepared for our subscribers and the Australian public through an effective, equitable investment structure.
The proposition is that all Australian citizens will equally be eligible to take one share only in the project. These prospective owners will then be offered a number of investment options, including the option to invest part of their superannuation as the strength of the final economic and business case dictates.
